You’ve applied the remover and taken the extensions off, but what do you do with the leftover remover? The most common move is to rinse it away with micellar water. But is it really that simple?
After removing the lashes, and before you rinse, it’s important to very carefully collect all the visible remover residue with a dry cotton swab, leaving no trace of it behind. Otherwise, on contact with water, it crystallizes into white “pebbles” or a white film, and that’s leftover remover mixed with adhesive. So first you clean thoroughly (tweezers first, then swabs with micellar water), and only once everything is clean do you always wash with a foam cleanser, precisely to rinse off the micellar water too. Only then, on clean lashes, can you prep with a degreaser, rather than trying to clean with it.
