A, I, J, B, C, CC, C+, D, D+, L, L+, LJ, LC, LD, M, Q… heard of curls like these? They exist! And this list is surely far from complete, with every brand inventing its own labels. But in reality, the same curl can just go by different names at different brands.

Essentially, all curls come down to 8 types:
B curl — almost flat, mostly used for the lower lashes.
C curl — the most natural, great for a natural effect, normal eye positioning, and also for round or protruding eyes, a must-have for the inner and outer corners.
C+ curl — a little more curved than C, still counts as a natural curl, works for almost everyone, and looks great mixed with the C curl.
D curl — round in shape, good for correcting narrow eyes (as long as the lashes don’t touch the upper lid), best avoided in the inner and outer corners.
D+ curl — very rounded, used for special occasions, and should always be mixed with flatter lashes.
L curl — ideal for eye correction. Hooded lids, deep-set eyes, and monolid (Asian) eyes, the L curl is a lifesaver for each of them! It also works for a normal eye shape, and you can even make it your signature, your clients will love the unique, unusual look it creates.
L+ curl — does the same job as the L curl, but looks more natural thanks to a smoother bend.
M curl — very similar to the L curl, but with a shorter base, which opens up the eyes even more.
Tip: ALWAYS ask for the curl chart from the brand whose products you’re about to try, so you don’t end up with a completely different curl than the one you expected.
