Common Lash Extension Mistakes

Common lash extension mistakes

How do you spot the trouble spots in your own work? Use our checklist:

❌ Red eyes after the service. If there was no redness before and the client isn’t generally prone to red eyes, then it’s definitely a mistake! The cause could be improper isolation, for example, a pad in the wrong position, or the eye cracking open during the service.

❌ The client can feel the lashes. If the client says she feels the lashes or has to get used to them, the problem may be too small a margin, or an unsafe volume or thickness. Normally, a client shouldn’t feel the extensions at all.

❌ The lashes start to droop. The cause is improper work with anagen (growing) lashes. On growing lashes, the length needs to be shortened.

❌ The extensions fall off while the natural lashes stay put. The cause is improper work with the adhesive, the wrong amount, or the wrong attachment technique. When everything is done right, an extension should shed along with the natural lash.

❌ The lashes tangle and look messy. The cause is direction set incorrectly or a fan opened too wide.

Do your work on the mistakes and keep delighting your clients with quality sets!
